Atlanta report of activities (June 16)

A weekly summary of recent events dated June 16,1967, noted as having “no AUSA report received. Included are details of a KKK rally in support of the Vietnam War, as well as an FBI assessment of “substandard” black neighborhoods and their potential for unrest. The assessment blames SNCC for intentionally “promoting a disturbance” after incidents between black civilians and white police officers and warns of the ability and willingness of KKK members to take up arms against black residents should a conflict occur.
