An FBI report relating to unrest around the Dixie Hills Shopping Center, June 18-20, 1967. The report details the trial and imprisonment of Stokely Carmichael, Donald Stone, and Ernest Stevens after their arrest on June 18 for “for failure to obey an officer to move on”. Willie Ricks was arrested while attempting to attend the trial due to failure to appear in court for multiple traffic violations. Other SNCC members attended; the report includes a press release put out by SNCC decrying police violence as well as the general treatment of black neighborhoods by city government. The press release also expresses discontent with black community leaders for allegedly attempting to divide the black community.
