Memo to Isaac Hunt from Feldman and Waldo regarding an interview with Mrs. Forrester – with handwritten notes
An annotated memo from Mr. Feldman and Everett Waldo to Atlanta Field Team Leader Isaac Hunt, dated October 24, 1967, detailing an interview with Mrs. Forrester from Emory Legal Services. Forrester gave the Atlanta Team updates on the case of Eleanor Chuse, a volunteer with the Justice Department’s anti-poverty VISTA program, who was arrested by an Atlanta patrol officer, allegedly after discovering her employment with the federal government. Chuse was not read her rights but was allowed to make a phone call – her case would be eventually dismissed.
