Memo to Mr. Nelson from Harvey Friedman, Isaac Hunt, and Eleanor Robbins regarding an interview with Eliza K. Pascall
An annotated memo to Charles Nelson from Atlanta Field Team Leader Isaac Hunt, as well as Harvey Friedman and Eleanor Robbins, detailing an interview with Eliza Paschall, director of the Atlanta Community Relations Commission, dated October 21, 1967. The CRC raised the issue of inadequate services towards black residents, the effectiveness of the commission itself, a lack of cooperation from the Mayor and the city Aldermen, and the difficulties posed to the CRC by members of the KKK. The team noted the extreme police influence in the council, as they were positioned as the unquestioned final arbiters of truth in any unrest/brutality case.
