FBI Report: Racial Disturbance June, 1967 Atlanta, Georgia Racial Matters (June 26)

An FBI report detailing tensions within Atlanta relating to unrest around the Dixie Hills Shopping Center June 18-20, 1967. Hosea Williams had issued an ultimatum to the city of Atlanta, demanding adequate public services in previously white neighborhoods that were now becoming increasingly black. Protests against the city and uncooperative local businesses after this “white flight” saw a meeting between Williams and a newly released Stokely Carmichael.
