Multiple FBI reports – with handwritten notes

FBI reports on disturbances from Dixie Hills, June 19-July 5. Unique to this document is a report dated June 21st, detailing conflict between SNCC members the local Youth Patrol over the latter’s efforts to deescalate civil unrest. Also included is a description of further protest at Dixie Hills shopping center, heavy police response, and the death of Willie Ross in his home as a result of stray gunfire (while this report states the origin of the shots are unknown, later analysis would find the Ross was killed by police-issued weaponry). The report details the investigation of the killing, further arrests, and attempts by SNCC workers to rally more local residents to protest.
